The Saturday Unwind Open Mic

Let’s face it – work sucks. The boss is on your ass, your co-workers are lazy, and all you want to do is go home. No matter what job you have, we all look forward to our favorite day of the week, Saturday. Nothing feels better than to unwind, hang out with friends, and share a few jokes. That is the basis for The Locals Comedy newest show at Paddy’s – The Saturday Unwind Open Mic. This will take place every other Saturday and run from 6pm to 8pm on the pub stage.
An homage to old times, The Saturday Unwind is a chill open mic format where comics, friends, and enthusiasts can relax, tell some jokes, and enjoy a break. Much like any other job, stand-up comedy requires experience to get better. To tell a joke in the break room and make the new intern laugh is easy, but telling it on a stage to hundreds, or even thousands of people is a different proposition. The Saturday Unwind is a true open mic – show up, sign up, and go up. The mic is open to first timers, up and comers, and touring pros. Like that last trip to Human Resources, you never know what you’ll get at The Saturday Unwind.
